The new/old writing team seems to have a thing for repeating past storylines. I can’t be the only viewer who has been feeling a sense of déjà vu as of late. MARDAR had clearly moved us away from some of the old tired storylines and were taking us in a forward motion, towards something bigger and better… then when they were let go, it was as if someone had taken the show and stuck it in a time machine… straight back to the past.
Suddenly, couples who had been finished with each other, were suddenly feeling sparks again, people who had made decisions finally, were back to waffling… Characters who had finally begun to start being true to their character were back to acting like someone else… Things that have happened more than once in Salem were happening all over again, only with different characters… The same old tired love triangles are back at it again… playing all sides, instead of choosing ONE couple and sticking to it.
When are the powers that be, going to get it? The viewers have already been there, done that and gotten BORED silly watching it… We want new fresh stories, true tales of love overcoming all obsticles and to see that one couple that has been teased, but never really given a chance…. EJAMI. We have more than earned our “lock stock and barrel” and it’s time Corday followed through on his promises to us for a change.
Who knows… when and if he ever does, he might just see what we’ve been telling him this whole time… EJAMI is where the ratings and numbers are at.
It wouldn’t hurt to either get a new set of writers in there, or force the ones we already have to come up with some original stuff, though. Because watching something that we’ve already watched once before is no way to keep us watching. Just sayin…. What can it possibly hurt to listen? So far, not listening has only brought you to the lowest ratings the show has ever seen… it’s time to turn on your listening ears and give the GA what they’re clammering for already… and enough with the teasing of all fan bases… EJOLE and SAFE have both been tried… again and again, they’ve been given real chances.. and each time, it has flopped big time with the viewers. Why? Those couples are BORING… or puke enducing… which ever explanation you find more to your liking… I know there are a FEW who like them… but the numbers that don’t have proven to be higher than those who do. Don’t believe me? Check out the ratings slump when those couples were together, verses when they weren’t. There is no denying it. So I ask you… why keep trying?
